Hannah - August 19We had a wonderfully relaxing few days at Old Farm. The location is very peaceful but with great places to visit on the doorstep when you venture out. Richard is a fantastic host, very welcoming and took the time to talk to our children and show them around and introduce them to his animals including the bees! The accommodation was perfect for our family of five and we would happily recommend this as a place to stay and we hope to returnAelwen - August 19A stunning historical cottage with incredible views. This place most certainly has the “Wow” factor! Lovingly restored and in perfect keeping with it’s history and the most beautiful and tranquil surroundings in the heart of the Somerset countryside. The cottage was clean and spacious with everything we needed. By far the highlight of the visit for the children were the animals with hours of fun spent with lots of trips to feed Arthur the donkey and Naughty Laddie the horse. Richard was a very knowledgeable host who was always happy to pass on tips & information, he made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. Sarah - July 19Richard was such a fantastic host and we loved staying at the Cider House. It definitely exceeded our expectations. Thank you Richard.Debbie - July 19A beautiful, tranquil spot and a characterful and extremely comfortable cottage! Richard, le propriétaire est charmant. Bonus pour les enfants : un âne, un poney, et un chien !Katharine - April 19The Cider House is a wonderful medieval building, sympathetically restored, surrounded by beautiful and tranquil countryside and with spectacular views of the Tor. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area and Richard was an amazingly kind and welcoming host. We had a brilliant stay and hope to come back.Dolly - Feb 19We had an amazing stay at the Cider Cottage...... Richard is a fabulous host with the perfect balance engaging with you and giving you privacy. The directions to the property were very clear and easy to navigate..... everything was well in order for our arrival and we loved the welcome note and apple juice. The location was amazing and easy to get to many different places. The house has a lovely feel and very welcoming, we loved Glastonbury and will definitely be back and would love to stay here againAlexander - Jan 19Old Farm is a real gem. It's a lovely space, cosy yet spacious and from the moment we arrived, we felt at home. Richard is a perfect host, available when needed but allowing you space to enjoy your stay at Old Farm in privacy. He generously allowed us to roam around and feed the animals and you can really feel the love Richard has put into renovating the place. His knowledge of the area really helped us feel a connection to the history of the farm and with Glastonbury itself. We enjoyed a magnificent sunrise on New Year's day walking to the Tor from Old Farm following Richards route and were ultimately very sad to leave. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a break from it all and to reconnect with nature.Rachel - Jan 19This is one of the best places we've stayed in, as you drive in and see Old Farm and the Cider House you just know that you've fallen on your feet. It's well off the main road down a quiet lane with wonderful views of both the Glastonbury Tor and the ancient city of Wells. The house is very attractive inside, it's clean, cosy and has a good feel to it. The beds are extremely comfortable with good linen and feather pillows. The view is of the main house which is very beautiful thanks to Richard's careful restoration with local craftsmen. There's plenty of space outside to eat and read. We liked Richard enormously, he's extremely helpful and relaxed and I'd like to thank him for everything he did for us.Elke B: Aug 18Thank you for an amazing stay. Everything about it was great, the house, the dog Ivy, the bees, the horse and donkey, the beautiful yoga spots and energy, the views, the Tor and your hospitality and great conversations.Rachel A: July 18This is one of the best places we've stayed in, as you drive in and see Old Farm and the Cider House you just know that you've fallen on your feet. The cottage was gorgeous as were the surroundings. So much to see and do in and around with the cider house as a fantastic base. Clean and beautifully renovated and kept, couldn’t have asked for more from our accommodation. Great walk up to the Tor from here too which we enjoyed the view of from the cottage. Richard the owner was helpful too. All in all would very much recommend!Mary F: May 18We, five adults, spent a lovely long weekend in Cider House. The communication beforehand with Richard was very uncomplicated and he was very forthcoming. The house itself was clean and warm, both bedrooms very spacious and the bathroom a generous size. The kitchen was well equipped. We also thoroughly enjoyed meeting Arthur the donkey and his pony friend as well as the dogs who paid us a visit us each morning:) There are lovely views of Glastonbury Tor from the house. Thank you Richard for a lovely time. We would definitely recommend this property.John R: May 18We all had a lovely time staying at Cider House in the beautiful Somerset countryside. Richard was wonderful with our children and took time out to show them Arthur the donkey and Laddie the Shetland pony. Richard also showed them the bees and his knowledge of bee keeping was a real education to us all. We thoroughly recommend Cider House - cosy with incredibly comfortable beds- it's a great base for exploring Somerset. It's not far from the coast, Bath, Wells and Glastonbury itself is just a few miles away with its eclectic shops and hippy vibe it's well worth a visit. We hope to return again very soon.Anna B: May 18My husband, myself and our 3 boys had a lovely long weekend in the Cider House. The weather was fantastic and we had some great days out. Would love to stay again in the future. We met Richard and his lovely flatcoat retriever who made us feel very welcome.Ben N: April 18Great place, we had a fantastic Easter break, Richard is a lovely host. We hope to return.Kayleigh: Dec 17/Jan 18Lovely size, Richard being helpful and contactable host. Beautiful views and nice countryside walk to the Tor. Bed comfortable but might be worth noting duvets / pillows are feather (for those with allergies of any degree). Log fire was perfect size and heating system also warms the place well. Plenty of parking and local pub walking distance with reasonable menu. Thank you for putting the little tree up for us too Richard.
