Craig - Sept 205* We spent a fantastic week in the Cider House enjoying great country wake. The location is close to Glastonbury yet far enough to feel we were really away from it all. Thank you to Richard and his family who were both very friendly and welcoming. And of course Ivy Dog, the other resident who always coming running to say Hi when she saw us.;-)Emily - July 205* We cannot express in words what a fabulous place this is. The accommodation was perfect for our family, there was everything we needed ( and more). Richard was very welcoming and incredibly lovely with our girls ( 7 and 2 years olds). He taught them lots about how to care for Arthur (the donkey), Laddie (the pony), the sheep. The highlight of our stay we to watch our girls play and love Ivy the dog (Ivy is the most friendly dog we have ever met)Peter – July 205* The property is full of character. It was spacious enough for the five of us, and well equipped. The owner took the kids in the mornings to feed the donkey, pony and sheep. He also mowed a cricket lawn when he saw I was practising the game with my eldest boy. All his family were veryfriendly and happy to chat. And their lovely dog was a big hit with my three boys. Very safe location.Joanne – July 205* Easy to book, friendly host who was very accommodating with James to help feed Laddie the pony, Arthur the donkey and the sheep..... ivy the dog was available to play at any time of dayBrian – Aug 205* We enjoyed a lovely week at the Cider House. Richard and his family were very welcoming and made a real effort to show my daughter all the animals. Richard let her feed Arthur and Naughty Laddie, and very patiently explained how to talk to them. We even got to peep inside one of the beehives. We were pretty much able to just wander around the farm as if it were ours - accompanied by Ivy Dog at all times! The location was excellent, with lots of interesting attractions nearby, and of course a stunning view of the Tor, which is well worth the walk up.Stuart – Sept 205* Cider House is a beautifully & thoughtfully renovated old farm building set in beautiful countryside Cider House is very spacious, with all the facilities you need with one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in Richard & his family are very warm, friendly, helpful with some thoughtful touches & great suggestions on what to do & where to goJulia – Aug 205* An idyllic spot with a gorgeous view of Glastonbury Tor as you sit at the dining table. The kids . enjoyed feeding carrots to Arthur & Naughty Laddie. The stroll to the Tor was easy and we enjoyed ice cream on the way back from the nearby farm shopLouise Aug 205* The Cider House at Old Farm in West Pennard is charming. You will feel the peace and special energy of a place steeped in history. Richard is an exceptional host who although busy is never too busy to answer questions or assist in any way. Our children loved feeding the animals with him and Ivy dog is the star of the show.
